Loan Vision Hosts Successful 2018 User Conference in Nashville

Building off the success from our first user conference in Pittsburgh, we look to gradually move our user conference across the country, hitting some of the USA’s great locations along the way. This year we settled on Nashville, TN and the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, located in the Downtown area - just a stone's throw away from the neon allure of Broadway Street. Looking to bring the most educational value to attendees we worked on getting the user conference approved for CPE credits, which indeed we did accomplish, which in turn had a great impact on turnout.

With over double the registered attendees from the prior year, customers descended upon Nashville from across the country to take part in sessions to learn from industry experts as well as the Loan Vision team. Though sessions were again assigned for the Executive Track and Power User Track, like the first user conference, this year’s setup was a little different.

Martin Kerr, President of Loan Vision welcomes everyone to Nashville.

The Power User Track sessions led by Loan Vision Consultants focused on key functionality and best practices within the Loan Vision G/L package and split into dual sessions. Also, Loan Vision partner and User Conference Sponsor, SAP Concur presented a session for the Power User Track on its AP automation toolset.

Loan Vision Consultants Beth Johnson and Just DeAngelis take the audience through the Loan Vision reporting tools they have at their finger tips.

The Executive Track focused on key mortgage industry topics and were presented by a number of well-known industry names. President of Teraverde Management Consultants, Jim Deitch rejoined the Loan Vision User Conference, to speak about transformative technologies and the financial impact they have on mortgage banks, while Andy Schell (MBS) spoke in two Executive Track sessions on hedging. The first of Andy's extremely informative sessions took a deep dive into the subject and the second featured a panel discussion which included Senior Product Manager, Jeff McCarty from Optimal Blue.

User Conference Sponsor and Loan Vision Partner, Jet Reports, presented to the Executive Track on how to best utilize its reporting tool. Loan Vision President, Martin Kerr, joined Jon Phipps, Channel Manager, from Jet to discuss the benefits of using Loan Vision’s reporting tool over Jet Professional and vice versa.

Jennifer Hannah, Assurance Partner at Richey May & Co., also returned to the User Conference to discuss how mortgage banks in times of compressed margins can determine how and when to reduce costs. Given the current challenges in the industry, this was a very well-attended and well-received session, given by an industry vet and excellent public orator.

In its return the Loan Vision Lab, a station designated to one-on-one time with the Loan Vision Consultants, presented attendees with the opportunity to address questions about the system. The ability to directly meet face to face with the Loan Vision team once again was highly praised by attendees, with many folks meeting for the first time after many years of phone and email conversations.

If attendees didn’t get the chance to talk with the Loan Vision team, speakers, or fellow users at the hotel, they certainly had the chance Monday evening at B.B. King’s Blues Club during the networking event. The extremely well-known spot in Nashville did not disappoint with exposed brick walls, excellent food and fantastic entertainment.

Attendees enjoy the fantastic food and live music at B.B. King's Blues Club.

The 2018 Loan Vision User Conference has been well-received, which would not be possible without the continued support of our customers, partners and guest speakers. We thank you all and look forward to the 2019 Loan Vision User Conference.
